How Was The Name “BreamBugs” Derived?

In the South, all panfish are referred to as bream. I don’t know why!

The Latin word for bream is “Abramic brama”. Poppers used for fly fishing for bream are commonly called “bugs.” Thus, the name Bream – Bugs. Check out all the “bugs” for “bream” at BreamBugs.com.
