The Purple Cow Bug

The Purple Cow Bug

Have you ever fly fished in farm ponds?  Did you see those big ugly bugs flying around and biting the cows?  The Purple Cow Bug is a good imitation of those bugs. It has a purple body, black hackle, purple Marabou feather tail and white rubber legs with wild eyes and a bulls eye on the bottom for the fish to zero in on.  Using a Mustad hook it is similar to the old Round Dinny once made by the Accardo Tackle Company.  Hook size 8 and 10.  Try it, you will like the results. #breambugs
