BreamBugs Trout Outing

BreamBugs Trout Outing

At this year’s BreamBugs annual outing at Rainbow Trout Ranch, Rockbridge, Missouri, technical staff member David Miller received a water color painting of him catching a trout at last year’s outing.  This painting was done by artist Bobby Walters of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The largest trout caught this year was 3.8 pounds. The most productive flies were black wet flies, Black Woolly Bugger and the Black and White Marabou Skunk. To Use Or Not To Use Barbless Hooks

To Use Or Not To Use Barbless Hooks

If you do lots of “catch and release” fly fishing you are aware of the advantages of barbless hooks.  The main advantage, however, is that it will not hurt the fish and obviously its easier to remove the hook.  BreamBugs has several barbless hooks to choose from.  Here is a picture of my favorite barbless hook.  Check out all of the different styles we have at:  www.BreamBugs.com
