Two New Accardo Blue Gill Special REPRODUCTIONS from Brack N Brine
Jan 21, 2019 | Blog | 15 comments
I grew up fly fishing with Accord popping bugs here in South Louisiana.
I’m actually from the same place the original Accordo baits were made..
I’ve tried a lot of different baits but the bluegill special will always be my favorite! ?
Thank you for your nice comments.
Helpful hint. Get the blue and fish it in the summer when the Blue damsels are flitting around the weed beds. Actually order SEVERAL. 😉
Thanks for the advice.
Do you have a catalog?? Thank you-sir
We do not have a catalog, we do all of our business over the Internet. If you have questions you are welcome to call me, 1-800-513-7041.
The yellow round dinny was the best I wish I would have bought 1000 to have them now
We have the Rollie Pollie made by Pultz Poppers in yellow body, black hackle and yellow tail. It is almost an exact duplicate of the old Accardo Round Dinny.
great for the panfish while on their beds at night!
The white is without a doubt, the best bream popper ever
Do you have any intentions to reproduce the other Accardo flies as well.(round dinny, spook, wildcat etc) also the pecks grey ghost.
We already have the Pultz Rollie Pollie which is very similar to the Round Dinny. We also have a Spook by Pultz in hook size 4. We have a Pultz Wildcat and Brack N Brine Crazy Cat both are made similar to the Accardo Wildcat. We also have the Peck’s Grey Ghost #7022 in hook sizes 2 and 4. All of these items are listed under Pultz, Brack N Brine and Peck’s.
My mom and I used to tie bugs for Tony Accardo and my dad and my father-in-law
Glued hooks into corks. Sure wish I had some of those thousands we tied as i now live on a river in south Louisiana and the fishing should be booming soon.
Thanks for your comments. Its unfortunate that the Accardo Tackle Company went out of business. The Accardo REPRODUCTIONS by Brack N Brine are very close to the original Accardo bugs.
Grew up in New Orleans, 60’s through early 80’s, have about 20 in the package Accardo BUGS from Security Sporting Goods, back in the day, with price tag stickers of $0.50 to $0.65, just recently found. Wished I could post a photo of them
