The Ozark Woolly Bugger, tied on a size 8 hook, is a great searching pattern effective for all species in still water as well as streams. It is impossible to fish the Ozark Woolly Bugger badly. Fish it on the vertical drop, strip it erratically with frequent pauses or retrieve it with a lift, drop, strip action. It is deadly in streams when dead drifted, stripped near the edges of structures or allowed to swing through seams in the current before imparting action to the fly at the end of the drift.
