The Jointed-Sally has 2 hooks, each with weed guards, tied on an articulated body to give lots of action to entice more strikes. It is weighted enough to take it down deep to get the attention of the “big ones”. The relationship between salamanders and bass is like crows and owls. The hatred is intense. Jointed-Sally should be allowed to swim through the bass nesting area during the pre-spawn and post-spawn periods. Salamanders eat bass eggs so the strikes will be vicious.
